Monday, August 24:

• The Los Angeles City Council is on Recess from Tuesday, August 18, 2009 through Friday, August 28, 2009
• Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council Meeting (6:30 PM)
  • Agenda Not Yet Posted. Note: It does not appear that there is a way to find or download the agenda from the Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council website. The website says "If you would like to receive the agenda, please send your email address to info@chnc.org." This is not good form. A lot of individuals, especially those tying to prevent their work/private email addresses from falling into the hands of scammers or spammers, may not want to share their email with every website which requests it; particularly as there is no good reason the agenda can't just be posted on the website. Additionally, the website does not even indicate where in the community the agenda is (may be?) posted. Again, not good. One of the most important functions of a neighborhood council is to inform and engage community stakeholders. If the Neighborhood Council's agenda is not readily available for a stakeholder to access, how would an interested party (like me) find out if there are issues/items on the agenda which may interest them, may impact their community, may even directly involve them? Two thumbs down to Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council. Y'all need to make it easy for stakeholders and interested parties to get involved.
