Monday, July 16:

• The Los Angeles City Council is on "Summer Recess" from Friday July 6th through Friday July 20th.
• Board of Neighborhood Commissioners (1:00 PM)
  • Item 9 (Discussion)
    • Discussion regarding possible changes to the current posting policy (.pdf) for Neighborhood Councils.
  • Item 12 (Public Hearing)
    • Public Hearing regarding the establishment of a set of standards to guide Neighborhood Council operations and provide a uniform measure of competence for Neighborhood Council officers, board members and volunteers.

    • Discussion and possible approval of up to $5,000 to fund the 4th Annual East Hollywood ArtCycle, which is to be held in September 2012 at the site of the new community garden on Madison Avenue (1175 North Madison Avenue).

    • Update on Assembly Bill 2231, which, per the Sacramento Bee, proposes to prohibit cities, such as Los Angeles, “that currently pay for sidewalk repair [from shifting]that burden onto homeowners without a majority vote of the public”. Possible motion.
  • Item 7F (Public Safety & Transportation Committee)
    • Update on fire near Hollywood Sign. Possible assistance with signage costs.
